Frequently Asked Questions

What makes us different from other alternative health practitioners?

At McClellan Natural Health, Wellness & Nutrition, we are uniquely qualified to provide our clients with safe, effective and entirely natural health services.  Our program is based on the proven concept that obtaining optimal health begins in the gut, with proper nutrition.  Therefore, our clients begin our program under the guidance of our Certified Primal Blueprint Expert, Bret McClellan, who provides dietary and lifestyle coaching – the very foundation of our health strategy.  However, since everyone has their own individual health issues, supplemental naturopathic medicine can help our clients achieve their health goals more quickly.  Therefore, each client receives supplementary guidance under Camille McClellan, who earned an MD in allopathic medicine and completed two additional years of clinical externships in various medical specialties.  She has since obtained a naturopathic degree in integrative medicine, and is in the process of completing her certification/masters in classical homeopathy.  Camille McClellan has dedicated her life to medicine and has over 10 years of experience in allopathic and alternative medicine.

What Can I Expect from McClellan Natural Health, Wellness & Nutrition?

With your free initial health consultation, you will help us determine if your particular health circumstances are the proper fit for our services.  From there, we will schedule a more comprehensive evaluation which will allow us to generate dietary and naturopathic recommendations specific to your individual needs and symptoms (click here for an example of what you would receive).   Our approach seeks to heal your body from within, greatly diminishing if not resolving your symptoms without pharmaceutical drugs.

Our one-time start-up fee also includes a follow-up call approximately 30 days after your implementation of our recommendations. During this call, you will help us determine if further evaluation and recommendations will be necessary to resolve your health issues.

What is Integrative Medicine?

Integrative medicine is a health strategy that seeks to remedy the underlying cause(s) of symptoms exhibited by the body. As opposed to today’s standard, compartmentalized medical approach that simply masks symptoms (usually with drugs), integrative medicine utilizes various methodologies in an attempt to determine the root issue(s) causing the symptoms. It is a holistic approach that helps to heal the body from within, such that symptoms are greatly diminished or no longer exhibited.

Why is Ancestral Nutrition the Basis of Our Approach?

Healing always begins in the gut.  Your digestive system is the foundation of your body’s defenses.  Ancestral nutrition (aka the Paleo diet) basically eliminates the most common digestive toxins found in today’s standard diets, helping the body to “reset” its defenses and begin the healing process.  While we do recommend a 30-day “Reset” approach to all of our clients, continuation of Ancestral Health beyond 30 days becomes highly individualized, dependent upon the specific needs (and symptoms) of the client. Therefore, there is no “one size fits all” approach to Ancestral Health. AtMcClellan Natural Health, Wellness & Nutrition, we provide assistance with your own individual continuation of the Ancestral approach.

How Can Naturopathy Help Me?

Naturopathy may not be the right approach for everyone, depending on their specific symptoms and needs. That’s why we offer a free initial health consultation to make sure that we are the proper fit for you.  Naturopathy includes many different disciplines (e.g.nutritional, homeopathic, lifestyle changes, etc.) that are not dependent on pharmaceutical drugs for healing. At McClellan Natural Health, Wellness & Nutrition, we gear our recommendations to the individual such that they receive the proper naturopathic strategies to health. With proper implementation, we believe that most illnesses can be alleviated without having to depend on drugs.
