The Nutritional Red Devil Beet Juice

The beet plant is referred to as Beta Vulgaris. It has antioxidant, antibacterial properties, can be used as a cleanse, as a tonic and the high fiber content improves digestive health. They are also an excellent source of potassium.
When you prepare to juice beets it is important to know that both the root and the beet plant can be used since both parts are very high in an enzyme call betaine and it is rich in vitamin A. Betaine can improve gallbladder and liver health by strengthening the organs to function and cleanse the body at an optimum level.
When buying the vegetable make sure to purchase those that are bright and glossy. This indicates freshness of the beet. When storing cut of the green leaves and treat it as any other leafy green you might purchase. Beets can be stored in plastic bags and placed in the refrigerator. They can be refrigerated for up to ½ weeks. Wash them before juicing or cooking.
For juicing wash by scrubbing both the root, body and leaves. Then place the beet in the juicer by making sure to feed the top first through the juicer then followed by the root.
Juicing Ingredients: Serves 1
4 Tomatoes
5 Radishes
½ Red bell pepper trimmed
1 Beet
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Instructions: Using a juicer add all ingredients, whisk together, add the cayenne pepper then pour into a glass and enjoy!
