What is Natural Medicine?

Natural medicine includes many holistic healing therapies, usually with prevention as the main focus. When deciding on using natural or alternative modalities it can be difficult to make a decision on one or more of these avenues. Therefore, developing a foundation or a basic understanding of how different alternative modalities work will be the beginning of a healthy mind, body and spirit. We recommend doing a little homework and seeking the advice of an experienced naturopath prior to determining which modality (or combination of modalities) will serve you best.

Researching alternative health will show you the numerous ways in which you can improve your health naturally. However, since all people are unique individuals, some strategies may work for certain people, while others experiencing the same ailments may benefit from different alternatives. Learning about the various herbal, nutritional, aromatherapy, meditation, yoga and reflexology techniques can give you more clear insight into various ways to take control and effectively increase your health.

That said, there are two things benefit everyone, across the board - decreased stress and an improved diet. Reducing and managing your stress on a daily basis can and will improve your health dramatically, as demonstrated by studies too numerous to count. And, as evidenced by the extremely poor health status of most people in the modern world (especially in the USA), we all know that an improved diet is critical to longevity.

At McClellan Natural Health, Wellness & Nutrition, we will help you find your own unique and natural way to an improved life.
